The magic of “what is”

The Plain Truth of living is put together in two words: what is.
What is, is right there in front of you — you can see, feel, touch. That is the plain truth of existence.
But there are so many other things that come with it.
What is not?
What it could be?
What if?
What would be?

So we move away from what is.
The journey of understanding the business of living is to come to realize what is.
This is such a simple expression of being: who you are, where you are, what you are.
But in order to completely get it, one tries to understand it through different means — by educating oneself about it, by discussing it, by talking to other intellectuals, philosophizing — but not ready to look at what is.
When we look at any situation which is happening right now, we actually compare it with something else which happened in the past.
When we talk to someone, we judge him based on his expressions, his tone of voice, his appearance.
All these judgments, knowledge, learning, deprive us from the direct result of what is.
I fail to understand that over a period of time, the civilization has learned so much — volumes of books, discussions, discourses — have taken us all away, away from the simplicity of what is.

The consciousness, or the livingness, or life, or love, or God — they all can be summarized in these two words: What is.
The isness of the situation.
Is-ness of existence.
The isness of the moment is the core meaning of being here, being in the music of what is.
Try to look at it, try to listen to it, try to feel it.
That will bring the immense pleasure, or the ultimate peace, or the answer to all your questions — it will lie in the simplicity of right here, right now.
What is.
