Chakra Balancing: A Journey of Self-Awareness and Healing

Chakra Balancing: A Personal Perspective

Today, we will be talking about chakra balancing. Many people call and ask if I know how to do chakra balancing, and I remain curious about what it is that people know about chakras and what it means by chakra balancing. I have a version of my own about what I think chakra balancing is. Chakras are actually energy sources placed in different locations in our body. Technically, people think there are seven chakras, and these seven chakras are placed in the forehead, heart, and on the top of the head, along with a few other locations. Accordingly, they have named them this or that chakra.

I’m not going to go into the details of the names of the chakras and where they are or how we can balance them. Over a period of time, I have seen the work being done on chakras, how they manifest, and what it takes. If a person is having an imbalance in the body, it shows up in different parts of the body, and those parts need to be directly addressed. We need to talk to, listen to, pay attention to, and acknowledge those areas.

Addressing Imbalances in the Body

I will take one example: a person having a knee injury. This knee injury persists to the point that it leads to the conclusion that it should be operated on, its membrane stretched, and its synovial fluid depleted. According to me, this part of the body requires attention—not in the sense that it needs a pill to numb it, or some ointments to be applied, and then forgotten about. Many times, we try to avoid it because it causes uneasiness or pain. Our attention is more focused on ignoring it, rather than showing it more love, warmth, kindness, and compassion. However, that part of the body becomes a source of irritation for us.

The Energetic Connection: Mind, Body, and Emotions

Similarly, energetically, if we are not at ease or if something is bothering us, it keeps surfacing in front of us in the form of thoughts, emotions, or physical pain. So, the solution for that is very simple. You take that part of the body or emotion that is bothering you, and dissect it. Try to see what it is composed of—is it an emotion of uneasiness, or an emotion of “I don’t know what’s happening” that needs to be elaborated more and talked out? Only then can it fully express itself. Once it expresses itself fully, it is out of the system, and the system knows how to balance itself again.

The Temporary Relief of External Stimuli

Any external source or stimuli attempting to balance it—whether in the form of chemicals (like medicines), crystals, bands, or Reiki—will only act as a band-aid to suppress the agony, confusion, or pain. These external stimuli help numb or temporarily suppress the discomfort, but what the body really needs is expression. The uneasiness is caused by suppression, so we do not need to suppress or handle it more. What we need to do is let it express itself.

Returning to Balance: The Role of Self-Awareness

Every person who has discomfort or imbalance—either in the body or energetically—must first address it to restore balance. Wherever there is more energy and wherever there is less energy, both parts need to come into balance. The simple way to do this is by paying more attention and allowing it to express itself fully. When the body is in alignment, energetically, you are at peace. Your hormones, nervous system, heartbeat, and everything else are calmer. If it is not calmer, you need to examine where the discomfort or pain is coming from, and then pay attention to that, acknowledge it, and love it. Once it is fully understood, the system will return to a normal state of balance—with yourself and with nature.

The Role of Chakra Balancing

That is how I think about chakra balancing. I do not want to over-hype chakra balancing as the solution. I also do not want to say that chakra balancing is no solution at all. But I consider all these external stimuli or aids to resolve a problem as actually just a band-aid. It lasts for some time, but then you have to keep doing it over and over to stay in alignment with yourself. You are the only one who will know where the misalignment is, and you are the only one who can fix it.

Final Thoughts: The Real Path to Chakra Balancing

I hope I was able to shed some light on chakra balancing, which is very much in fashion these days, with people claiming to have mastered the art of balancing chakras—something I don’t claim to have done. Thank you.
